Eyes are the windows to our soul, goes the popular adage. However, the windows tend to need some repair after a certain point in time to keep up with the ageless soul. This is where Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery comes into the picture. Ptosis or droopy eyelids usually affects old people, wherein the tendon of the muscle responsible for lifting the eyelid stretches and fails to function. Congenital Ptosis is the presence of droopy lids in a person since birth. People suffering from both the conditions can benefit from blepharoplasty wherein the sagging skin around the eyes is tightened to achieve a youthful appearance.
Blepharoplasty is the ultimate solution for problems ranging from fat deposits in the upper and lower lids to excess skin and muscle on either lids that make them droopy. Come enjoy the 89th running of the world famous Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase race, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Great Meadow in The Plains, Virginia. The Virginia Gold Cup is a grand spring tradition as well as a fixture on the social calendar. Run in Fauquier County since 1922 and attended by over 50,000 spectators, this race is one of the largest and most popular sporting events in the greater Washington metropolitan area. Race day features six hurdle and timber horses races, Jack Russell Terrier races, tent, tailgate and hat contests, and vendor booths for shopping.

Entering the contest is easy. If your party is on Members Hill come to the Winner’s Circle in front of the Steward Stand at 2:15pm. The contest will start at 2:30pm. If you party is located in either the North or South areas of the course meet at the Entrance Gate to Members Hill at 2:00pm. Look for the sign that says “Hat Contest” and join the parade to the Winner’s Circle.
