The Ultherapy Procedure
The Ultherapy™ procedure can take up to one hour to complete depending on your individual needs and comfort levels vary from patient-to-patient with most people reporting a prickly sensation with minimal discomfort. Dr. V wants to make your experience as comfortable as possible however; and she will discuss any anesthetic options with you during your consultation along with possible side effects or any risks involved. Following your procedure, at first your skin may look pink or flushed but will fade within hours and you will be able to return to work or resume your normal activities immediately. With only a single treatment, your collagen is stimulated to grow and results can sometimes be seen immediately however for the treatment to fully take effect; the results will occur over the span of 2-3 months with some patients reporting continued improvement for up to six months as new collagen regenerates. Clinical trials reported results of tighter, firmer, and more youthful looking skin, additionally these studies documented changes in appearance that were significant in 90% of patients who received an Ultherapy™ treatment.
