What are Facial Implant Before and After Images?

Before and after images in case of facial implant procedure refer to a set of pictures pertaining to a previous patient who has undergone the same procedure successfully. The set includes pictures taken prior to the surgery and after the surgery when full effects of the procedure have appeared.

These pictures are taken in a discreet manner and after obtaining the consent of the patient. The aim is to educate a new patient about various aspects of facial implants and help them make informed choices. Plastic surgeons typically make use of facial implant before and after photos as a visual aid during the initial consultation process.

Benefits

A new patient who is looking for a suitable facial plastic surgery may not have a clear and specific idea of how facial implant procedure may help them meet their aesthetic needs. Facial implants may be used in a variety of ways, depending on the facial anatomy and aesthetic goals of a patient. Implants may be used for cheek augmentation or chin augmentation in many cases. The patient would like to know how such a change may impact the overall appearance of the face.

In some cases, the patient may have an option between procedures such as a facelift, facial grafting, or facial implants. A combination of two or more surgical procedures may also be recommended in some cases. The patient will be in a better position to make an informed decision on the treatment when before and after photos are available to them. It makes the consultative process more effective.

Considering the key advantages of before and after photos, Dr. V ensures that these photographs for facial implants and other procedures are made available at her office. Patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and surrounding communities can review these pictures during the initial consultation.

Being Realistic about the Procedure

Success and failure in plastic surgery procedures such as facial implants can be quite a subjective matter. Therefore, it is integral for a plastic surgeon to ensure that a new patient is clearly informed about them what a procedure can or cannot do for them.

When the patients form correct or realistic expectations they are much more likely to be satisfied and happy with the results in the end. Facial implant before and after photos can play a key role to ensure that the patient understands the potential effectiveness of the procedure clearly at the outset.

Cost of Facial Implants

Northern Virginia | Loundoun | Fairfax Facial Implant Cost Chin | CheekFacial implants are an effective way to enhance the facial appearance and improve overall facial balance. As an experienced facial plastic surgeon, Dr. V discusses all aspects of a facial implant procedure with her patients, including the cost aspect, at the time of initial consultation. Her goal is to ensure that the patient is in a position to make an informed choice and be well aware of the estimated costs that they may have to bear.

Cost aspect becomes particularly important when facial implant surgery is performed purely for aesthetic reasons. In such a case, the cost may not be covered under the patient’s health plan. Patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and surrounding communities can discuss various aspects, including cost of facial implant procedure.

Pivotal Factors Impacting the Cost

The cost of facial implant procedure may depend on a number of factors as follows:

Where the Practice is located

The location of practice can contribute to the overall cost of facial implant surgery because each geographical region may have a different cost of living index. This index influences the average cost of most types of goods and services in a particular area, including plastic surgery procedures such as facial implants. For instance, the cost of this surgery in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and nearby areas may differ from the cost of the same procedure in Santa Barbara, CA.

Fee Charged by the Surgeon

A plastic surgeon may charge a fee to perform a facial implant surgery, depending on their qualifications, experience and recognition as a facial plastic surgeon. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) suggests that patients should opt for the right surgeon for their needs, and consider the surgeon’s fee component only as a secondary factor in such a decision.

Costs of Anesthesia and Operating Room

Facial implant procedure may be performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation with local anesthesia, depending on the specific case. The fee of anesthesiologist may vary as per their skills and experience. The quality of the surgical facility, the qualifications and experience of the staff, and services provided at the facility may impact the operating room costs.

Nature of Implant Procedure

A facial implant procedure may be performed to reduce or augment the size of the chin, enhance the cheekbones. It may involve the use of more than one implant to make the face appear wider or narrower as the case may be. In some cases, the facial implant surgery may be performed as a part of facial reconstruction following an injury. The type of implant materials used may also impact the overall costs of the procedure. For instance, high strength silicone implants may cost more than polyethylene based facial implants.

Average Cost of Surgery

The average cost of cheek or chin implants may range anywhere between $6,000 and $12,000, depending on various factors. The costs of anesthesia and operating room may or may not be included in this price, as per the charges in a particular case or at a particular surgical practice.

Facial Plastic Surgery Overview

Manassas | Leesburg | Middleburg Facial Cosmetic Plastic SurgeryA face lies at the core of a person’s beauty profile. Signs of aging can be identified first on the face, and if the face looks rejuvenated, a person will usually appear younger than their age. Dr. V, at the Virginia Institute of Surgical Arts, is a board certified facial plastic surgeon providing innovative facial aesthetic surgery procedures. Patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and surrounding areas have an opportunity to receive state of the art facial surgery solutions at Dr. V’s office.

A facelift is the primary facial rejuvenation surgical procedure that can make a comprehensive difference to how old a person looks. Relatively minor procedures such as brow lift, eyelid lift, rhinoplasty, lip and chin augmentation may or may not be added with a facelift. In many cases, the surgeon will recommend a combination of facelift and neck lift to achieve more harmonious outcomes. If the patient needs just a minor facial enhancement, a mini facelift procedure may suffice. The surgeon will make the appropriate recommendations based on the patient’s facial anatomy, health condition, and their personal aesthetic goals.

What is a Facelift?

A facelift is one of the popular plastic surgery procedures in the U.S. today. Advanced technologies and surgical techniques have made the procedure safer, more conservative, and more effective. The procedure involves surgical reduction of signs of aging from the face to restore a younger looking and more attractive face. The surgery involves removal or reposition of excess fats, tightening of underlying stretched facial muscles, and excision of loose facial skin.

Terrific Candidates

Adults who are unhappy with the conspicuous signs of aging on their face, and are keen to reduce loose facial skin and make the face appear smoother may consider facelift plastic surgery. Individuals within the age group of 30 to 60 may be ideal and fantastic candidates for this procedure. The ideal candidate will have some amount of elasticity in the facial skin so that the best possible results can be achieved.

On average, a full facelift surgery may successfully take five to 10 years off the face of the patient. Dr. V provides this surgery to patients located in and around Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, and Warrenton.

Facelift Procedure

A facelift surgery is usually performed as an outpatient procedure. The surgeon may use general anesthesia or IV sedation, depending on the extent of surgery involved and other factors. The procedure begins with the plastic surgeon making an incision that starts in the temple area and goes along the hairline up to the ear. Through this discreetly placed incision, the surgeon will reduce excess skin, reposition or remove excess fat as needed, and tighten the weak underlying muscles and tissue.

The goal is to achieve a firmer and smoother facial contour. The procedure may be performed using traditional surgical techniques or endoscopic technique. Once the skin is re-draped smoothly over the face, the incisions will be closed with sutures or skin adhesive. The procedure is usually completed within two to three hours.

Asian Rhinoplasty (Nose Job Surgery)Dr. Trang Vo-Nguyen is a board certified facial plastic surgeon providing procedures such as rhinoplasty to patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and other areas.

Dr. V has the expertise for ethnic rhinoplasty for Asians, which requires a close understanding of the unique Asian facial features and how they may vary from Caucasian features. Patients of Eastern Asian descent, who are looking for aesthetic nose surgery procedures, may benefit the most from treatment with Dr. V.

What is Asian Rhinoplasty?

Asian rhinoplasty includes plastic surgery procedures that are designed to enhance the appearance of the nose in Asian patients, without compromising the essential ethnicity of the face. It is imperative that such a procedure should be performed by a surgeon with specific experience in ethnic rhinoplasty.

The aesthetic needs and goals of Asian patients are typically different from those of Caucasian patients. Silicone implant augmentation is one of the common procedures required in Asian rhinoplasty. Wherever possible, the surgeon may use patient’s cartilage from ear, nose or ribs to augment the nose to the desired size and shape.

Anatomy of the Asian Nose

The average Asian nose is typically wider when compared to a Caucasian nose. The projection of the nose is shorter and less prominent. The dorsum is generally less projecting and the nasal bridge is also lower. The nasal tip may be rounder or poorly defined, or less projecting in the Asian nose. In some cases, such as in the case of Japanese patients, the dorsum may have a convex shape.

The base of the nose is wider in relation to the height of the nose, and the labionasal angle may be sharper. Therefore, Dr. V ensures that her patients in and around Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, and Warrenton receive customized treatment based on the specific ethnic anatomy and aesthetic goals of a patient.

Common Asian Rhinoplasty Procedures

Augmenting the dorsum and sharpening of the nasal tip projection are two of the common nose procedures that Asian patients typically ask for. Concomitant nasal lengthening may also be needed, if the patient has a flat and short nose. Dorsal hump and nasal tip reduction procedures may not be required by most Asian patients. Nose augmentation in case of Asian rhinoplasty may be performed with silicone implants or using patient’s own cartilage.

Nose Augmentation with Implants

Silicone implants are used by many plastic surgeons who are focused on Asian rhinoplasty procedures. Patients with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Taiwanese ethnic origins may be looking to increase the size of their nose in harmony with the rest of the face. Some surgeons prefer silicone implant based augmentation, particularly if they believe that the outcome will be more enhanced with it.

Compared to an autologus surgery, involving patient’s own cartilage, the surgery with silicone implants can be less complicated and avoiding the risk of donor site morbidity. However, in some cases, the surgeon may prefer autologus rhinoplasty, if the outcome may be more effective with this technique.

Revision Rhinoplasty (Nose Job Surgery) Before and After PhotosRevision rhinoplasty can be a more complicated procedure than the primary nose surgery. Patients who are already unhappy with the outcome of the first rhinoplasty may be quite unsure about how a revision surgery may improve their appearance. See Revision Rhinoplasty (Nose Job Surgery) Before and After Photos

Plastic surgeons can make use of revision rhinoplasty ‘before and after photos’ during the initial consultation to address a patient’s concerns. Dr. V provides before and after photos to her patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and surrounding communities.

What are Before and After Photos?

Before and after photos in case of revision nose job surgery refer to a set of pictures pertaining to a previous patient who has undergone the procedure successfully. The set includes pictures taken prior to and after the procedure. In case of a revision rhinoplasty procedure, the pictures may even include pictures taken before the original rhinoplasty surgery to show how the nose appear prior to the first surgery, and what impacts were achieved after the first surgery and a revision procedure.

These photographs are taken with the consent of the patient, and shown to new patients to educate them about various aspects of the revision rhinoplasty procedure. Plastic surgeons typically use these pictures as an effective visual tool during the initial consultation for various surgical procedures.

The Benefits

Revision rhinoplasty procedure may involve grafting, implants, structural changes, complete nose reconstruction, correction of functional anomalies, or such other techniques. Sometimes it may be necessary to combine the revision nose surgery with another facial procedure to achieve improved facial harmony or restore the essential integrity or ethnicity of the face. For a new patient, it can be difficult to visualize how a particular treatment approach or a combination of procedures may impact their overall facial appearance. This is where before and after photographs can prove to be useful and help a patient understand the potential aesthetic outcomes.

The patient is in a better position to decide whether to go ahead with the procedure, and what treatment options to follow in consultation with the surgeon. Dr. V makes sure that her patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and other areas have access to revision rhinoplasty before and after pictures so that they can make a better informed decision.

Staying Realistic

One of the key advantages with revision rhinoplasty before and after photos is that it ensures that a patient will have realistic expectations. In absence of these photos, there is always a risk that a patient may misunderstand the surgeon’s explanations, and may form improbable expectations. This can result in disappointments later on, even if the procedure is performed fairly successfully. This unpleasant eventuality can be avoided if the surgeon makes use of before and after photos to explain what the procedure can or cannot do.

Online Photos

Some plastic surgeons may also provide revision rhinoplasty before and after pictures on their website. New patients can simply access the photos online and know about the effectiveness of the procedure even before they decide to visit the surgeon for an initial consultation.

For more infomation please contact Dr. V. Dr. Trang Thuy Vo-Nguyen, known to her patients as “Dr. V,” is a board certified facial plastic surgeon providing the latest surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures in Northern Virginia, Leesburg, Loudoun, Fairfax, Warrenton, Fauquier, Arlington, Manassas, Middleburg, Prince William, and other areas. https://thevirginiainstitute.com/contact-us/

The cost of revision rhinoplasty can differ from one practice to another, and also from one patient to another at the same practice. Dr. V discusses the cost aspect for this procedure during the initial consultation with his patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and nearby areas.

Cost Factors

Length and Complexity of Surgery

Revision rhinoplasty can often be more complicated and lengthier procedure as compared to the primary nose surgery. As a result, the cost of the revision procedure is likely to be slightly higher in comparison to the original surgery. The final cost will depend on the extent of improvements or surgical revisions required. If the revision procedure involves grafting with patient’s own tissue or with silicone implants, the cost may increase.

Fee of the Plastic Surgeon

Revision rhinoplasty should be performed by a facial plastic surgeon with experience in handling complex revision procedures of the nose. The surgeon’s fee may differ based on their qualifications, experience and reputation in performed revision rhinoplasty. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) recommends that surgeon’s fee should only be a secondary consideration when making a choice of a suitable plastic surgeon.

Anesthesia and Surgical Room Costs

Revision rhinoplasty may be performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation, depending on the circumstances of the case. The fee of anesthesiologist may vary according to their skills and experience. The cost of a surgical facility may also vary depending on the technologies, services and staff available at a particular facility.

Practice Location

Average cost of living in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and nearby areas may differ from that in San Francisco, CA. This may impact the cost of various goods and services, including cosmetic surgery services in a particular area.

Average Cost

If the revision rhinoplasty involves just a minor corrective surgery, it may be completed in less than half an hour under local anesthesia, and the cost may be quite low. On the other hand, if the procedure involves major nose reconstruction, implants or other revisions, the procedure may cost more than what it may have cost during the primary nose surgery.

Cartilage grafting or silicone implants, and correction of structural or functional abnormalities may require a major procedure, which will cost more. Depending on the operative time and other factors, the average cost of revision nose surgery in the United States may range from $7,500 to $14,000.

Insurance and Financing

An elective surgery such as rhinoplasty is not likely to be covered under a patient’s health plan. The same also holds true for revision rhinoplasty, especially if the primary procedure was performed for aesthetic reasons.

However, if the procedure was medically necessary to correct functional anomalies, the revision surgery may also be covered fully or partially under the patient’s health policy. Most patients can also receive convenient financing options from professional medical care finance firms. The office of the plastic surgeon may be able to offer guidance in these matters.

Fairfax Plastic Surgery | Loudoun | Revision Rhinoplasty Nose Job SurgeryDr. Trang Vo-Nguyen (Dr. V) is a board certified facial plastic surgeon providing rhinoplasty as well as revision rhinoplasty procedures. If a patient is dissatisfied with the primary nose surgery performed by a surgeon, a corrective surgery called revision rhinoplasty may have to be performed. Dr. V provides this procedure to her patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and other areas.

When is Revision Rhinoplasty Performed?

In some cases, the original rhinoplasty procedure may have resulted in a compromise of the patient’s basic facial integrity or ethnicity, or the results may appear very obvious. Some patients may be unhappy with the lack of harmony of the new nose with other facial features, or the procedure may have caused obstruction in breathing or other functional difficulties. In such cases, an experienced plastic surgeon may be consulted for a revision rhinoplasty to remove the aberrations caused by the primary surgery.

Treatment Planning

Revision rhinoplasty is typically a more complicated procedure compared to primary rhinoplasty. Therefore, this procedure should be performed only by an experienced plastic surgeon specializing in facial procedures. Patients in and around Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, and Warrenton have an opportunity to receive this treatment from Dr. V.

She will first assess the cosmetic and functional problems of the nose that the primary surgery may have caused or left untreated. In some cases, the problem may not be directly related to the primary nose surgery, but may have occurred during the period of recovery. The exact nature and causes of the problem will be established, and an appropriate treatment plan will be prepared taking into account the patient’s facial anatomy, aesthetic goals, and previous nose surgeries.

Goal of Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision rhinoplasty procedure aims to restore the appearance of the nose in accordance with the patient’s aesthetic goals through correction of the problems caused during the first surgery. In revision surgery, sometimes the plastic surgeon may be required to perform a re-construction of the nose and re-draping of the skin.

Limiting factors such as natural thickness and texture of the nasal skin, elasticity of the skin, and availability of cartilage may have to be dealt with in revision rhinoplasty. The primary procedure may have caused scar tissue formation, which can be another factor that the surgeon will have to overcome in a revision procedure.

Nose Reconstruction

Revision rhinoplasty may often require reconstruction of the underlying nasal structure to restore aesthetic appearance as well as correct functional problems of the nose. In some cases, nose grafting may be necessary, which may involve patient’s own cartilage from the ear, nose or ribs. Aberrations on the nasal bridge or nasal tip may be obscured by using Fascia from the scalp. Silicone implants may be used if the patient’s natural tissue availability is limited, or cosmetic concerns require the use of silicone implants.

Recovery

The patient can go back to work usually within a week after the surgery. Full effects of the procedure become visible as the swelling and bruising resolves over the next several weeks.

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job Surgery) Before and After Photos

Northern Virginia Rhinoplasty Nose Job Surgery Before After PhotosRhinoplasty, popularly known as a nose job, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to improve the shape, size, and appearance of the nose in harmony with the other features of the face. Dr. V provides rhinoplasty to her patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and nearby communities.

What are Rhinoplasty Before and After Photos?

Rhinoplasty ‘before and after’ photographs refer to a set of images belonging to a previous patient who has successfully undergone nose surgery. The photos are taken with the consent of that patient in a discreet manner. The set includes pictures taken before and after the rhinoplasty procedure. The purpose is to educate new patients about nose job, and how effective it may be in improving their facial profile.

The plastic surgeon will use these before and after photos at the time of initial consultation. In many cases, a new patient has only a vague idea about rhinoplasty and other facial plastic surgery procedures. During the initial consultation, the surgeon can explain clearly about various aspects of rhinoplasty. Before and after photos come in handy at this stage as a visual tool to help the patient understand exactly what kind of changes can be achieved with rhinoplasty. See Rhinoplasty before and after photos

Choice of the Right Procedure

Dr. V ensures that her patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and surrounding communities are made fully aware of the various treatment options available to them. Sometimes the patient may be unsure whether to choose full or mini rhinoplasty, or combine rhinoplasty with another procedure such as chin or cheek augmentation or enhance the overall facial aesthetic outcome.

In such situations, before and after photos can provide a fair visual idea of how different treatment options may help. Patients can choose the best possible treatment plan in close consultation with the cosmetic surgeon, using before and after pictures as a visual aid.

What Rhinoplasty Can or Cannot Do?

One of the key goals of the rhinoplasty surgeon at the time of initial consultation is to ensure that the patient forms realistic expectations about the final outcome. Despite the best explanations of the surgeon, sometimes the patient may over-estimate what improvements in facial appearance can be achieved with rhinoplasty.

In such a situation, even if the actual procedure turns out to be very successful, the patient may end up being disappointed with the results. This risk can be entirely avoided when the surgeon makes use of nose surgery before and after photos and explains to the patient what the procedure can or cannot in terms of aesthetic enhancement.

Digital Photos on the Surgeon’s Website

Rhinoplasty ‘before and after’ photos can also be provided online at the plastic surgeon’s website. This way any person who is keen to learn about the procedure can access these photos at the website. Potential patients can review the photos and decide whether to visit the surgeon’s office for a rhinoplasty consultation.

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job Surgery) Northern Virginia

Rhinoplasty, commonly known as nose job or nose surgery, is a plastic surgery procedure to improve the proportion, shape, size or overall appearance of the nose in harmony with the face. Sometimes the surgeon may use rhinoplasty to correct certain functional anomalies that may be causing obstruction in breathing or other difficulties.

Can Be Restored

If the nose has suffered damage to its shape during a previous surgery or due to an accident or injury, the nose may be restored to its original shape and appearance with the help of nose surgery. Dr. V is a board certified facial plastic surgery providing rhinoplasty to her patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and surrounding areas.

What improvements can be made with Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty can help achieve the following improvements in the appearance of the nose as per the unique aesthetic needs of a particular patient:

  • Enhancing or reducing the size of the nose in proportion with the rest of the face.
  • Enhancing or reducing the width of the nose at the nose bridge.
  • Removing unsightly humps or depressions on the nose bridge.
  • Improving the tip of the nose which may be sagging, bulbous, or upturned.
  • Correcting the shape of large, wide or upturned nostrils.
  • Restoring balance to an asymmetrical or deviated nose.

Dr. V evaluates the facial anatomy in conjunction with the patient’s aesthetic goals in order to prepare a customized treatment plan for nose surgery. Patients in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Arlington, Middleburg, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, and nearby areas have an opportunity to receive this surgery at Dr. V’s state of the art practice.

Who is a Suitable Candidate?

The following attributes usually make a terrific or fantastic candidate for rhinoplasty:

  •    The patient is unhappy with the current appearance of the nose and wants to improve it.
  •    The patient has a good physical health and is fit to undergo surgery.
  •    The patient is over 12 years of age and the facial growth has been fully attained.
  •    The patient is a non-smoker or ready to stop smoking several weeks prior to the procedure.
  •    The patient has clear goals, positive outlook and realistic expectations from rhinoplasty.

Procedure

The plastic surgeon may perform nose surgery under general anesthesia or IV sedation, depending on the circumstances of the case. It may be a closed or open rhinoplasty as per the treatment plan devised to achieve the patient’s aesthetic goals. The closed procedure will involve incisions inside the nose, which keeps the scars hidden later on.

In an open procedure, however, the incision is made across the columella, which a thin strip of tissue dividing the nostrils. The surgeon will lift the soft tissue that covers the nose in order to gain access to reshape the underlying structure.

Recovery

The recovery period may be around one week, but the swelling may continue to exist for several weeks. Full effects of the procedure appear gradually, and it may take up to a year for the reshaped nasal contour to refine fully. Results of rhinoplasty are usually permanent.

A new patient may have only a vague idea of facelift surgery, and it can be difficult to explain the real effectiveness of the procedure in words. This is where before and after photos can play a key role and show visual results of the procedure. Some patients may be unsure whether to choose a facelift, a mini facelift or a procedure for the upper face only such as eyelid lift or brow lift. In some cases, the surgeon may recommend a facelift combined with a neck lift surgery.

Expectations from a Facelift Surgery

In any cosmetic surgery procedure, it is very important for a patient to know clearly what the procedure can or cannot do for them. Despite the best explanations of the plastic surgeon, a patient may sometimes misinterpret the aesthetic goals that can be achieved with a certain procedure.

When a patient forms wrong expectations, the final results can be disappointing, even if the surgeon has performed the procedure very successfully. This scenario can be avoided with the help of facelift before and after photos. Most surgeons use these pictures to ensure that the patient forms realistic expectations from the facelift procedure in order to achieve satisfactory results.

Photos Online

A plastic surgeon may also provide facelift before and after photographs on the practice website. This can allow free access to the photos to anyone who needs to learn more about facelift surgery. A potential patient who may first like to know more about the surgery before considering a personal visit to the surgeon’s office for a consultation can simply review before and after pictures from the comfort of their home or office.
